Makaw Hotel privacy policy
This policy explains how Makaw Hotel processes its guests' personal data under Colombian Law 1581 of 2012 and Decree 1377 of 2013. By booking, you give prior, express and informed authorization for the processing described here.

What data we process
What you give us when booking: name, email, phone and, if you include them, your ID document and notes for the property.
Details of your booking and stay: dates, room type, number of guests, payment amount and status, and any payment receipts you upload.
Your card details are processed directly by the payment gateway: neither the property nor Roomii receives them. We don't ask for sensitive data.
What we use it for
Manage your booking, payment and stay, and send you the confirmation and related messages.
Comply with legal obligations, such as registering guests with the authorities and accounting and tax obligations.
Send you offers and news from the property, only if you authorize it separately. You can revoke that authorization at any time.
Who else processes it
Roomii (roomii.link), the property's booking platform, processes your data as a processor: only on the property's behalf and following its instructions.
The payment gateway you choose, to process the payment, and the authorities when the law requires it.
We don't sell your data or share it with third parties for their own purposes.
International transfers
The platform runs on cloud infrastructure providers that may be located outside Colombia. That international transmission to the processor is made with measures that guarantee an adequate level of protection for your data.
How long we keep it
For as long as needed to manage your booking and stay and, afterwards, for the periods required by legal, accounting and tax obligations.
Your rights
Know, update and correct your data; request proof of the authorization you gave; be informed about how it's used; revoke the authorization or ask for it to be deleted when there's no legal duty to keep it; and access it free of charge.
File complaints with the Superintendence of Industry and Commerce (SIC) after completing the process with the controller.
