Day to day

Measure your ads

Connect Google Analytics and the Meta pixel to your booking page and find out how many visits, bookings and how much money your Instagram, Facebook and Google ads bring you.

Connect Google Analytics

  1. In Google Analytics go to Admin → Data streams and open your web stream (if you don't have one, create it with the address of your Roomii page).
  2. Copy the Measurement ID: it starts with G-.
  3. In Roomii go to My property → Analytics and paste it into Google Analytics 4 measurement ID.
  4. Click Save changes.

Connect the Meta pixel

  1. In Meta Events Manager pick your pixel (or create one) and copy its ID: it's numbers only and sits under the pixel name.
  2. In Roomii go to My property → Analytics and paste it into Meta pixel ID.
  3. Click Save changes. Your page updates in less than a minute.

What gets measured

Roomii sends these events without you setting anything up:

  • Viewing a room: view_item in Google and ViewContent in Meta.
  • Searching dates: view_item_list and Search.
  • Starting a booking: begin_checkout and InitiateCheckout, with the stay's value.
  • Going to pay: add_payment_info and AddPaymentInfo.
  • Confirmed booking: purchase and Purchase, with the booking's value and code.

To measure your ads, mark purchase as a key event in Google Analytics (and as a conversion in Google Ads), and use Purchase as the goal of your Meta campaigns. That way you see how many bookings and how much money each ad brings you.

The cookie notice

When you connect Google or Meta, your page shows a notice so guests can accept or reject cookies. Nothing loads until they accept, as data protection laws require. The privacy policy Roomii generates for you adds a section about these cookies on its own.

Guests can change their choice any time from Cookies, at the bottom of your page.

Frequently asked questions

I don't see purchases in Google Analytics

Bank transfer and pay-on-arrival bookings count as a purchase when the guest opens their booking once it's confirmed. Also check that you accepted cookies while testing and that you're looking at today's report: Google can take up to 24 hours to show some data (in Realtime you see it right away).

My visits show up as coming from Stripe or PayPal

In Google Analytics go to Admin → Data streams → your stream → Configure tag settings → List unwanted referrals and add your payment gateway's domain (for example checkout.stripe.com or paypal.com).

Can I add Google Tag Manager or other code?

Not for now: only Google Analytics 4 and the Meta pixel. If you need another tool, write to us.
