Rooms and prices

Create promotions

A promotion is a % discount on the base price for the dates you choose. Guests see the previous price crossed out and the promotion's name.

How they work

  • The discount is a whole % between 1 and 90, and it's always calculated on each room's base price.
  • During the promotion, that discount replaces any price set for those nights in Rates.
  • If two promotions overlap on a night, the one with the bigger discount applies.
  • The guest sees the undiscounted price crossed out and the name of the promotion.

Create a promotion

  1. Go to Rates → Promotions tab and click New promotion.
  2. Enter the Name. Guests will see it next to the price, for example "Black Friday" or "Midweek getaway".
  3. Set the Discount in %.
  4. In Promotion dates, choose the first night and the last night. Both are included.
  5. In Days of the week, leave only the days it applies to. For example, Sunday to Thursday to fill midweek nights.
  6. In Rooms, tick the ones it applies to (or use Select all). You'll see the crossed-out price and the discounted price for each one.
  7. Click Create promotion.

Pause, edit or delete

In the list of promotions, each one shows its discount, name, dates and rooms.

  • Pause: the promotion stops applying but isn't deleted. It shows as Paused and you can turn it back on with Activate.
  • The pencil opens the promotion so you can change its name, %, dates, days or rooms. Save with Save changes.
  • The trash can deletes it. The nights go back to their undiscounted price.

Promotions that have already ended are grouped under Ended promotions.

On your public page

Your guests see your active promotions before they search for dates, which encourages them to book the discounted days:

  • A Deals and discounts section with one card per promotion: the %, the name, the dates, the days of the week and the rooms. Tapping a card searches those dates.
  • In the search calendar, days with a promotion have a green dot.

Only active promotions that haven't ended are shown. Paused and ended ones are not.

If you'd rather not advertise them:

  1. Go to Rates → Promotions tab.
  2. Uncheck Show promotions on my page. The change saves automatically.

Promotion ideas

  • Midweek: 15% off Sunday to Thursday in low season.
  • Last minute: 20% off for the next two weeks if you see lots of free nights in the calendar.
  • Special dates: Black Friday, Cyber Monday or your property's anniversary, announced on your social media with your link.

Frequently asked questions

I created a promotion and the price went up instead of down

This happens when those nights had a set price lower than the base: the promotion is calculated on the base and replaces that price. Review the base price or delete the promotion on those dates.

Can I give a fixed-amount discount instead of a %?

Not with a promotion. For a fixed amount, use Set price in Rates: if the price is lower than the base, the guest will also see it crossed out.

Do promotions change bookings already made?

No. They only apply to new bookings.

Do my guests see paused promotions?

No. Your page only shows active promotions that haven't ended. See On your public page.
