Rooms and prices

Seasonal rates

Each room has a base price. From Rates you can change it for specific nights: high season, holidays or just weekends.

How the price of each night is decided

For each night and each room, Roomii checks in this order:

  1. Is there an active promotion that night? Its % discount is applied to the base price. If there are two, the one with the bigger discount wins.
  2. Is there a price set for that date? That price is used (for example, high season).
  3. If there's nothing, the room's base price is used.

The colors in the grid show you which one applies: Base price, Discount (cheaper than the base) and Higher price (more expensive than the base).

30-day view

In Rates, the 30 days tab shows a grid: each row is a room and each column is a night. With Days to show you can see 14, 30 or 60 days, and you move through time with the arrows, Today or the calendar.

Change a single night

  1. Double-click the cell (or select it and press Enter).
  2. Type the price and press Enter to save. Tab saves and moves to the next night; Esc cancels.

Change several nights or rooms at once

  1. Drag the mouse over the cells (or click one and Shift+click another). You can also click a date to select the whole column, or a room's name to select the whole row.
  2. In the bar that appears, click Set price.
  3. Enter the Price per night. In Apply to, untick the days you don't want to change, for example to raise only Fridays and Saturdays.
  4. Click Save price.

From the same bar, % discount creates a promotion with those dates and rooms, and Back to base clears the prices you set so those nights go back to the base price.

Change the base price

Under each room's name you'll see Base and its price. Click there to change it. It affects every night that has no set price and no promotion.

Yearly view

The Yearly tab is for planning long seasons for one room.

  1. Choose the room in the selector at the top. Use Previous year and Next year to switch years.
  2. Click the first day of the season and then the last one.
  3. The same Price per night window opens: enter the price, choose the days of the week and click Save price.

If you make a mistake after the first click, click Cancel selection. Nights with a promotion are marked with a label.

Quick examples

  • Pricier weekends all year round: in the yearly view select January 1 to December 31, leave only Friday and Saturday in Apply to and save the price.
  • December high season: in the yearly view select December 15 to January 15 and set the seasonal price.
  • Same holiday price for every room: in the 30-day view click the date (whole column) and use Set price. If you'd rather apply a % to each room based on its own base price, use a promotion.

Frequently asked questions

How far ahead can I set prices?

Up to about 18 months ahead. Nights that have already passed can't be changed.

I set a price and the grid shows a different one

There's probably an active promotion on those nights: promotions replace set prices. Hover over the cell to see what's being applied.

Do the changes affect bookings I already have?

No. Each booking keeps the price it was made with.
