Show up on Google
Create your Google Business Profile, add your Roomii link and get direct bookings from people who find you on Google Maps and Google Hotels.
Many travelers look for a place to stay straight on Google or Google Maps. With your Google Business Profile (free) your property shows up in those searches, with photos, reviews and a button that takes guests to your Roomii page to book direct, with no commissions.
Create or claim your profile
- Go to business.google.com with the Google account you want to use for your business.
- Search for your property's name. If it's already there (Google sometimes creates it on its own from guests' info), choose Claim or Request access. If it isn't, create it.
- Pick the category that describes you best: hotel, hostel, cabin, glamping, guest house… That way Google knows you're a place to stay and shows you in lodging searches.
- Enter your exact address and place the pin on the map.
- Verify your profile. Google tells you how: by phone, by email, with a short video of the place or with a postcard with a code. It can take a few days.
Add your booking link
- In Roomii, go to Overview and, on the Your booking link (put it in your Instagram bio) card, click Copy.
- In your Business Profile, open Edit profile and find the website field.
- Paste your link and save. If Google offers a separate field for a booking link, paste it there too.
- Search for your property on Google from your phone and tap the website button to check it opens your page.
Complete your profile
A complete profile ranks higher and builds more trust:
- Photos: upload at least 10, of the rooms, bathrooms, common areas, the view and the outside. They can be the same ones as on your Roomii page.
- Amenities: check what you offer (wifi, parking, breakfast, pool, pets allowed…).
- Check-in and check-out times: the same ones you set in Policies.
- Description: you can use the same Short description as on your public page.
Your Roomii page already tells Google, without you doing anything, which rooms you have, how many people fit, their photos and their price per night. That helps Google understand your page when someone finds it.
Get reviews on Google
Reviews are what helps most when guests choose. Roomii can ask for them for you:
- In your Business Profile, find the option to ask for reviews and copy the short link Google gives you.
- In Roomii, go to My property → Guest emails.
- Check Ask for a review after the stay and paste the link into Link to leave a review.
On checkout day, after noon, your guest gets an email with the link to leave a review. Reply to reviews from your Business Profile, especially the negative ones: travelers read the replies.
Frequently asked questions
How much does it cost?
Nothing. The Google Business Profile is free and Roomii charges no commission on the bookings you get from Google.
Will my prices show on Google Hotels?
Not for now. Google only shows prices and availability sent by companies connected directly to it. Your profile does show on Google Hotels and Google Maps, with your photos, reviews and the website button, which takes guests to your Roomii page.
Someone else created my property's profile. What do I do?
Find your property on business.google.com and choose Request access. Google lets whoever manages it know; if they don't answer within a few days, Google lets you claim it yourself.
My profile already has a Booking or Airbnb link. Should I change it?
We recommend using your Roomii link as the website: you pay no commission on those bookings and the money goes straight to you. You can stay on Booking and Airbnb and keep calendars up to date with Sync with Airbnb and Booking.
