Bookings on your own website
Paste a snippet into your website and guests book without leaving it, with your colors and your font.
If you already have a website (WordPress, Wix, Squarespace or custom-built), you can put your Roomii booking engine on it. Guests search dates, choose a room and book without leaving your website, and the booking reaches you just like the ones from your Roomii page.
Choose how it appears
- Go to My property → Your website.
- Under How should it appear? pick an option:
- Floating button: a button in a corner of your website opens bookings in a window. It's the easiest option and works on any page.
- Inside your page: the full booking engine inside a section of your website, for example a “Book” page.
- Search bar: guests choose dates and guests on your website and, when they search, the window opens with the available rooms.
- If you like, adjust the Button text, Button position, Color and Language. If you leave the text empty, it shows in each visitor's language.
- Check the Preview: you can open the button and search dates to see how it will look.
Copy the code into your website
- Under Your code, click Copy code.
- Paste it into your website (see below how for each platform) and publish the changes.
- Open your website and try it: search some dates and go as far as the booking form.
Where to paste it on your website
- WordPress: edit the page, add a Custom HTML block and paste the code. To show the floating button on every page, paste it in a footer block.
- Wix: use Inside your page. In the editor, Add Elements → Embed Code → Embed HTML, paste the code and make the box bigger. Wix shows that code inside a fixed box, so the floating button and the window would be stuck inside it. For the Floating button, paste the code in your Wix dashboard under Settings → Custom Code (requires a Wix Premium plan).
- Squarespace: add a Code block where you want it to appear and paste the code.
- Other websites: paste it where you want it to appear on the page. For the floating button, paste it before
</body>. If someone helps you with your website, send them the code and this guide.
What guests see when paying
Everything happens on your website: searching dates, choosing a room, extras and coupons, and filling in their details. When they confirm:
- If they pay by card or online, the payment gateway opens full screen in that same tab (gateways don't allow being shown inside another website). Afterwards they see their booking confirmation on Roomii.
- If they choose bank transfer or pay on arrival, everything stays on your website.
Either way they get the confirmation email and you get the usual notice. The booking shows up in Bookings like any other.
Frequently asked questions
Does my Roomii page keep working?
Yes. Your page on roomii.link stays the same; the widget just gives you one more way to get bookings. You can keep sharing both.
Can I use my own buttons?
Yes. Paste the code into your website and add data-roomii-open to any button or link of yours, for example <a href="#" data-roomii-open>Book here</a>. Clicking it opens the booking window.
Will it slow down my website?
No. The code is very small and loads after the rest of your page. The booking engine only opens when a guest uses it (or, with Inside your page, when they reach that section).
How do I remove it?
Delete the code from your website and publish the changes. You don't need to do anything in Roomii.
